As a result of the pioneering 2nd Symposium on Sinology & 7th Immersion in Cosmoethics, held in China in
October-November of 2007, SBAEC was able to establish academic exchange between Wuhan University and the
Western Parana State University (UNIOESTE).
Through the efforts of the SBAEC, Qin Tianbao, Ph.D., professor of environmental law and Assistant Dean for
International Relations at the School of Law & Research Institute of Environmental Law (RIEL) at Wuhan University,
participated in the 3rd Annual Week of Legal Sciences, as well as giving lectures at UNIOESTE and CEAEC. As a
result of these activities, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Wuhan University and UNIOESTE
and SBAEC, while Dr. Qin was in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.
