The Center
The Sino-Brazilian Academic Exchange Center (SBAEC) is a Brazilian, independent, non-profit
organization that serves as a multicultural portal between hemispheres, East and West. In order to
maintain a more direct understanding and contact with Chinese culture, people and thought, SBAEC’s
board of directors is located in Beijing and maintains an executive base in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.
Objectives
The following are SBAEC’s main objectives:
- Foster greater understanding between the two cultures, East and West.
- Disseminate Chinese thought and culture in the West.
- Organize cultural activities between Latin America and China.
- Promote multidisciplinary international academic events.
- Publish international academic works.
Exchanges
Having the mission of conducting exchanges between China and Latin America, and being an
academic center, SBAEC stands out for its prioritization of and emphasis on quality and depth of
content in its activities, as well as the reception and attention provided by its founders, who have been
active in China since 1998. SBAEC offers personalized programs in accordance with the nature of the
individual, group, corporation or academic institution, in Brazil and China.
Among the activities organized by the SBAEC, the following can be highlighted:
Touristic-cultural excursions.
- Intellectual-cultural excursions.
- Academic events.
- Chinese language studies.
- Student exchanges.
- Liaison between corporations, institutions and official bodies.
